Joshua Kaye

Josh moved to Hawaii in 2008 after being part of the San Francisco jazz scene for twelve years.  His 2004 debut recording entitled “The Joshua Kaye Quartet – Live!” included sidemen from the Cal Tjader band and was described as “kinetic Latin swing.”  Since moving to Hawaii, he has been recording and performing locally with his trio as well as his R&B/jazz group Adagio.  In 2015, Josh released a CD of his own original music performed on solo piano called “Introspection”.  Currently, Josh is finishing an album of jazz standards that bring together many of Honolulu’s finest musicians as well as including notable mainland players such as New York trumpet player Eddie Henderson.

John Kolivas

John Kolivas has been a professional bassist and educator for nearly 40 years. Over the years John has performed with jazz giants Delfeayo Marsalis, George Benson, Benny Golson, Herb Ellis, Steve Turre, Arturo Sandoval, Eric Marienthal, Don Grusin, John Pizzarelli, Larry Coryell, Bobby Watson, Makoto Ozone, Les McCann, Bud Shank and vocalists Lea Salonga, Wayne Newton and Rosemary Clooney. John has also been a bassist with the Hawai‘i Symphony for 20 years and teaches bass at Punahou School.
